The spirit of change and innovation was palpable as the LEAP Institute recently participated in the Ashoka Workshop, a gathering that brought together organisations from across the SADC region under the inspiring campaign “Everyone is a Changemaker”. Held on the 9th and 10th of April 2024, this event served as a platform to recognise and amplify the impactful work being done across the continent to develop and acknowledge changemakers.
Representing the LEAP Institute with utmost dedication and enthusiasm was Zonke Ngidi, the Assistant Director who embodies our commitment to fostering positive change in communities. Zonke’s presence at the workshop underscored our organisation’s dedication to driving meaningful transformation and innovation in the education sector.
The Ashoka Workshop provided a unique opportunity for the LEAP Institute to engage with like-minded organisations and explore avenues for collaboration. It was a forum where ideas were exchanged, partnerships were forged, and collective efforts were celebrated. Through interactive sessions, discussions, and networking opportunities, participants gained valuable insights and inspiration to further their mission of creating positive social impact.
As part of our ongoing commitment to innovation and collaboration, the LEAP Institute led the first host site visit in Zimbabwe and Zambia during the workshop. This initiative aimed to explore potential opportunities for collaboration and synergy, laying the groundwork for future partnerships that have the power to drive significant change in the region.
